When asked about her approach to caring for her patients, Dr. Stone replied, “My goal is to develop a relationship with my patient in order to have direct and open discussions regarding diagnosis, treatment options and patient goals. I believe my patient desires truthful communication and involvement in her care. I use my surgical skills, knowledge about chemotherapy and current medical evidence to advise my patient regarding her treatment choices and include her support network to develop a treatment strategy. I care for my patients along the entire spectrum involving her cancer diagnosis. I like to counsel and educate my patients regarding diagnosis and treatment options, and have research opportunities available. This partnership allows for the application of cutting edge technology and research to be individualized to each patient. Our relationship develops a care plan based on patient goals, medical evidence and current strategies in the setting of care, respect and hope.”
