Charles Leonard, M.D.


Dr. Leonard has worked at Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers since 1994. Originally from Jackson, Mississippi, Dr. Leonard has lived in Colorado for 15 years and specializes in radiation oncology.


Dr. Leonard is a member of several organizations, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American College of Radiology, the American Radium Society and the American Society of Therapeutic Radiation Oncology.


In his spare time, Dr. Leonard enjoys the jazz piano, telemark skiing, running, biking, swimming and spending time with his family.

Education & Background

After receiving a B.A. in literature at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, Dr. Leonard went on to earn a medical degree at the Vanderbilt University Medical School. He completed his residency in radiation oncology and biophysics at the George Washington University Hospital in Washington, D.C.


According to Dr. Leonard, when it comes to caring for his patients, he cares for people in the manner that he would want to be treated.
