Dr. Kim is a 1992 graduate of the University of Arizona College of Medicine, located in Tucson, Arizona. She completed her internal medicine residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, California, and completed her fellowship in oncology and hematology at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. She is board certified in internal medicine, oncology and hematology.


Prior to working at Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers and the Cancer Center of Colorado Springs, Dr. Kim spent five years at the Oncology Institute of Greater Lafayette in Indiana. Although Dr. Kim treats a wide variety of cancer patients, she has a special interest in women’s cancers and hematology disorders.


Dr. Kim is an active member in a variety of professional organizations, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology and American College of Physicians. She plans to continue her role as a physician leader in the Colorado Springs community as she becomes involved in educational and screening programs.

Education & Background

Dr. Kim is committed to research and for the last five years has served as the principal investigator for the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group at the Oncology Institute of Greater Lafayette. In addition to lecturing at hospitals and other health care organizations, she was a clinical instructor at Purdue University/Indiana University Medical School.


Dr. Kim is married with two young children. She enjoys hiking and being outdoors in the beautiful Colorado Rockies. Dr. Kim is also an accomplished chef and creates wonderful Korean dishes. She is an active member of her church and makes an annual trip to Thailand where she works with the Lahu Medical Mission.
