Recognizing an increasing need for patient support services, in 1999 a group of friends, associates and patients of Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers donated their time and talents to found the RMCC Foundation. On May 1, 2011, the RMCC Foundation became Rocky Mountain Cancer Assistance (RMCA).
RMCA is a Colorado-based charity providing financial assistance for basic living necessities to cancer patients and their families. Assistance from RMCA is for day-to-day expenses such as rent or mortgage, utilities, transportation, food, health insurance premiums and COBRA. Since 2000, RMCA has provided over $2,500,000 in non-medical financial assistance to more than 4,000 cancer patients receiving treatment in Colorado.
