About Michele Basche, MD

Dr. Michele Basche is a board-certified medical oncologist with advanced sub-specialty expertise in breast cancer. She treats patients with all types of breast disease with cutting-edge cancer treatments such as chemotherapy, immunotherapy, hormone therapy, and clinical trials. Dr. Basche practices evidence-based medicine and follows National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) guidelines.

She works closely with breast surgeons, radiation oncologists, plastic surgeons, and other sub-specialists and participates in a weekly breast tumor board conference. During these tumor boards, cancer experts collaborate and review cases, share knowledge, and determine the best possible treatment for each patient. Dr. Basche develops customized treatment plans for each of her patients that incorporate cutting-edge therapies.

Dr. Basche also treats people with gynecologic cancer, including ovarian, endometrial, cervical, fallopian tube and primary peritoneal carcinoma, as well as people with gastrointestinal cancers.

She is the Co-Medical Director of Supportive Care, a dedicated team of licensed oncology clinical social workers that are a resource for patients as well as their family and caregivers.
