About Kathleen Monahan, DO
Dr. Kathleen Monahan joined Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers in 2024 as a medical oncologist and hematologist. She is skilled in treating a wide variety of cancers and blood disorders, but her practice focus is on the treatment of all types of breast cancer including hormone-positive breast cancer, HER2-positive breast cancer, triple-negative breast cancer, metastatic breast cancer, and inflammatory breast cancer. Patient Care Philosophy
I believe in a holistic approach to cancer care understanding there are not only physical, but mental, emotional, and spiritual impacts from every new diagnosis. To accomplish this, I tailor each person’s treatment to their individual needs in all of these areas. In addition, I collaborate with each patient to take into account their perspectives related to their diagnosis. I also value a team-based approach to cancer care working alongside compassionate and invested nurses, medical assistants, social workers, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and more. Together, we strive to build therapeutic relationships founded in trust and mutual understanding so that we may support each person through all phases of diagnosis and treatment.
