Medical Technologist/MLT

Position: Med Tech/MLT

Location: Float between all lab locations

Hours: PRN (as needed)

Essential Job Duties:

Perform, evaluate and report hematology, to include reporting of manual differentials - urinalysis, coagulation and chemistry tests. Performs venipuncture.  Operate and maintain analyzers including; Beckman Coulter LH 500, TOSOH, and Dade RXL. Maintain regulatory adherence to all COLA, OSHA compliance laws and Universal Precaution Procedures.  


Bachelors degree in medical technology and education in lab computers for Medical  Tech AMT or ASCP preferred.  Experience with LIS and EMR preferred. Associate's degree in medical technology for MLT.

Flow Cytometry Specialist- Midtown

Position: Flow Cytometry Specialist

Location: Midtown

-Perform routine processing of bone marrow, peripheral blood, tissue and body fluid cells for flow cytometric acquisition and analysis.

-Prepare and aliquot solutions and reagents for laboratory procedures as directed. Prepare and analyze subsequent specimens for cell changes and report findings to pathologist.

-Perform microscopic analysis of stained smears.  Classify cells and record classification.

-Monitor problem cases to ensure a timely resolution.  Assist in identifying, analyzing, and solving problems concerning individual cases, tests performed and equipment malfunctions.

-Perform trouble shooting, maintenance, and operation of flow cytometry analyzer, quality control analysis and interpretation.

-Monitor inventory and other duties as assigned within flow cytometry laboratory.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in medical technology required AMT or ASCP required.  Must have at least five years’ experience in analysis with a color flow cytometry analyzer, with an emphasis in lymphocyte subset exposure.  Work experience in a general clinical laboratory environment with an emphasis in general hematology required.

Genetic Counselor- Aurora

Position: Genetic Counselor

Location: Aurora

Hours: Full-time


  • Provide genetic counseling to individuals with a family history of cancer, including information pertaining to risk factors, genetic concepts and inheritance.
  • Collect medical and family history from patients from a variety of sources including personal interviews, telephone screenings, medical records review and conferring with clinicians.
  • Develop detailed computerized models analyzing inheritance patterns to calculate and report cancer risks for individuals and families.  From models, identify at-risk individuals that may benefit from genetic screening, testing and/or counseling.
  • Coordinate genetic testing, including obtaining insurance authorizations and physician referrals.  Schedule laboratory and related diagnostic testing.  Review information with physicians, nurses, social workers and other clinicians and participate in development of treatment plans as appropriate.
  • Provide long term follow up of patients as necessary and assist in patient referral process.
  • Maintain patient educational resources and literature.  May prepare and present information to community groups.
  • Liaisons with patients participating in cancer genetics research studies. Recruit patients for participation in trials, obtain informed
  • consent, collect participant medical history, etc.


  • Master's degree in Medical Genetics/Counseling including clinical experience from an accredited genetics counseling training program.
  • Minimum two years as a practicing genetics counselor, oncology experience preferred.
  • Board certified (or eligibility for certification) from the American Board of Genetics Counseling or American Board of Medical Genetics.

Pharmacist- Midtown

Position: Pharmacist

Location: Midtown

JOB DESCRIPTION:   Under minimal supervision dispenses medications, drugs, and other medications at RMCC’s in-office oral dispensing location.  Prepares and maintains all necessary records on prescriptions, patient charges and inventory.  Consults with nursing and medical staff regarding prescriptions, patient reactions, and drug detail.  Monitors compliance with all legal regulations and accreditation organizations.  Educates patients on proper use of oral medications as needed.  Seeks financial assistance for patients as needed based on insurance coverage.  Insures timely delivery of medications to patient’s home and RMCC sites for patient education.

Minimum Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of pharmacy and state licensure. Minimum three years experience as a registered pharmacist. Prefer three years experience in a retail pharmacy. Oncology background preferred.

Registered Nurse- Thornton Radiation

Position: Registered Nurse

Location: Thornton

Hours: Full-time


  • Perform baseline assessments on new radiation oncology and follow-up patients which includes reviewing patient’s medical records for baseline data and comparing with assessment data.
  • Perform weekly and PRN assessment throughout course of treatment to include assessing patients for side effect of radiation and reporting changes in patient status to physician.
  • Perform post-procedure assessment by responding to patient calls after completion of treatment.
  • Implements plan of care in accordance with established standards, guidelines, protocols, and procedures based on actual and potential problems.
  • Perform ongoing evaluation of effectiveness of nursing intervention and initiate appropriate changes.
  • Complete admission assessment from on patients scheduled for radiation therapy.
  • Coordinate and participate in immediate effective management of emergencies.
  • Acts as liaison between Nursing, Radiation Therapy and Business Office personnel to provide optimal interdisciplinary patient care and maintain effective relationship between services.


  •  Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred.
  • Experience and knowledge of the purpose and use of radiation therapy in the treatment of cancer.

Medical Assistant- Rose

Position: Medical Assistant

Location: Rose

The successful candidate will:

  • Escorts patients to and from exam rooms, physician offices, and treatment room as appropriate.
  • Records patient data prior to each physician visit, including but not limited to, vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication changes.
  • Obtains all necessary patient records as required by physician and verifies presence of consent prior to treatment or procedures.
  • Prepares and stocks exam/treatment rooms and orders supplies as needed.
  • Assists physicians with exams and procedures as requested.
  • Obtains blood specimens from peripheral sites as needed and in accordance with OSHA and universal precautions.
  • Administers subcutaneous and intramuscular injections, including but not limited to, hormones and biological growth factors.
  • Maintains all exam/treatment room disinfection protocols.
  • Answers patient telephone calls for referral to physician or nurse/pharmacist.
  • Phones in prescriptions and makes other patient calls as required or directed by physicians.


High school graduate or equivalent. Certificate of graduation from an accredited program for Medical Assistants preferred.

Minimum three years experience as a medical assistant in a hospital or clinic setting.

Phlebotomy experience required. Current CPR certification required. Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
